Rebemolo, LLC

Land Acknowledgement

In 2020, Rebemolo, LLC was established and registered on land that was stewarded by the Ho-Chunk Nation, Menominee Indian Tribe, Oneida Nation, Potawatomi, Stockbridge-Munsee Community, and Ojibwe Bands of Wisconsin, as well as other Indigenous nations whose names have been erased.

As Rebemolo expanded, it worked with artistic organizations that also operate on Indigenous lands in what is now known as the United States of America. These locations are historic sites where territory was stolen, treaties were broken, and even forced labor from abducted Central and West Africans occurred. Rebemolo recognizes and shows respect to the communities and individuals connected to these areas, and mourns the victims of these atrocious acts.

Rebemolo will include and collaborate with underrepresented creative industry professionals, artists, and voices as part of its mission statement. Ultimately, sovereignty and land rights must be restored to the original Indigenous nations. Furthermore, reparations must be paid to the descendants of the enslaved.

Rebemolo is committed to supporting the Land Back movement and reparations, with genuine intent and without performative gestures.
